OPERAM Managed Solutions UK opened in 2016, introducing a flexible and collaborative approach to the standard outsourced recruitment solutions. It was built on a foundation of 40 years’ experience through its founders, First Recruitment Group CEO, John Urpi, and Managed Solutions expert Simon Woodhouse.
Both John and Simon have overseen long-term recruitment solutions for large clients in the technical engineering sectors. In fact, over 20 years ago, they co-founded the Energy sector’s first International Managed Service, operating in 4 of the world’s continents. They have learnt a lot over the years, discovering what works and what doesn’t and they have listened to client’s voice their concerns over the limitations of some solutions in later years. They opened OPERAM in answer to their clients concerns offering a different kind of solution.
Since opening, the company has gone from strength to strength, providing tailored, flexible recruitment solutions to a multitude of UK-based and international companies. We take pride in delivering the agility and support that businesses need to thrive in an ever-changing market.
In 2018, we secured our first global Managed Service Provider (MSP) agreement for contingent workers with a leading oil operator. Thanks to the outstanding success of that partnership, we were entrusted with their Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) for permanent staff in 2020. Since then, we’ve successfully managed a global workforce of over 320 (216 Locals and 108 Ex-Pats) contractors and facilitated 270 (94 Ghana & 176 ROW) permanent placements across multiple regions. We recently completed a SOW for 45 local Ghanian employees with a 90% Operam/Direct fill rate and in just 8 months!
Additionally, we supported the rapid growth of an emerging life sciences start-up, delivering over 262 key hires in under 12 months, helping them scale efficiently to meet their ambitious goals.
